A day late, a buck short
Hi!
Thanks for opening this email.
Hard to believe, but it was NOT my New Year's Resolution to stop sending this newsletter. In fact, I'm hoping to keep them coming more consistently in 2019. LET'S GET THIS BREAD (irrelevant, but motivational, no?).
Your links are here:
It’s impossible to think of The Breakfast Club, without simultaneously getting, “Don’t You (Forget About Me)” stuck in your head. A few thoughts on why that is.
Keep your emails tight by avoiding these redundant phrases (such as “preplan” and “assless chaps”).
Rocking out and sobriety don’t normally go hand-in-hand. Here are 9 sober musicians talking about “creating while clean.”
A Peloton commercial will never be the same after this seeing this thread.
It's come to my attention that not everyone on planet earth is listening to my favorite podcast, Who? Weekly. If you like celebrity gossip, pop culture non sequiturs, or just laughter in general, I strongly recommend.

Tunes to start the week with:
So many good new albums!! First, Sharon Van Etten released a killer new album, Remind Me Tomorrow. It's a little more pop-oriented than past projects (think Arcade Fire), but still gritty rocker-chick gold. Read my review!
Second, James Blake released Assume Form. It's not the genre-redefining kind of record we're used to getting from him, but still incredibly listenable. The rap tracks are the bright spots, especially "Where's The Catch?" with André 3000.
