Hi!
Thanks for opening this email.
Wishing I was a small dog napping in a sunbeam, but until then, here are some links:
One the best forms of comedy is taking something very dumb too seriously, and this is a truly masterful example of that - “The Facist State of Paw Patrol.”
I don’t usually look at a NYTimes Op-ed and think, “YES,” but these are uncertain times and I very much agree with this defense of not posting through it. Normalize not caring about what someone from season six of The Bachelor thinks about literally anything.
A little love for my favorite fashion photographer and stone cold cutie, Phil Oh, or Mr. Street Peeper. I love this short video interview with him, talking about the start of his career and the genesis of “street style.” He makes me excited to get dressed!
Bill Ackman, living proof that money cannot make you cool, likeable or interesting, along with several other prominent bitch boys, is demanding the names of Harvard students who sent an anonymous email blaming Israel’s imperialist government for the recent terrorist attacks. Bill’s take? - if students don’t uniformly fall in line to support right-wing foreign governments, their McKinsey internships should be snatched away (the cruelest punishment fathomable to the dorks running this fucking country). This call is the second round of intimidation for Ackman v. academia - the first time, he threatened MIT for revealing the Jeffrey Epstein funding of his most-recent wife’s lab.
Tunes to start the week with:
Kali Uchis has a new single and a very dramatic, Telenovela-inspired music video to go with it. Slowdive, you will always be famous (to me and a handful of old goths). Julie Byrne does a gorgeous “These Days” cover that is, surprisingly, more Jackson Browne than Nico.
