Hi!
Thanks for opening this email.
Surfing all over the web for these fresh links:
I know I’m pretty “sportsball”-coded, but in reality I am a big, dumb, Celtics fans. And we had a really good game yesterday! That mattered a lot! We’re a cute team, ok?!
Bloomberg outed themselves as never seeming chill enough to be offered work drugs (in finance nonetheless!).
“AI will take your job” is the new “learn to code” threat for dorks who hate art. Also, why would he do that?
And in another HUGE, MEANINGFUL win for all women everywhere, the oldest lady on the planet was wheeled back into the Senate to make lots of decisions on our behalf. I just love how she shows little girls everywhere that if you refuse to listen to others and act only in self-interest, you can hold a political party hostage well into your golden years.
Tunes to start the week with:
Ryuichi Sakamoto, the legendary composer, passed away a few weeks ago, but before he did, he shared a playlist with his team to be played at his funeral. It’s a mark of an obsessive artist, attempting to work in the afterlife, and a profoundly intimate moment to share with his listeners. The playlist itself is obviously elegiac and gorgeous. A note on it says, “He truly was with music, until the very end.” A life well lived!
xx
Loved the Mother’s Day tweets. Somehow I’ve managed to avoid those in years past, but received 2 this year from strange companies I never remember giving my info. A good reminder to unsubscribe. Go Celtics!
