feels like monday to me
Hi!
Thanks for opening this email.

Me, on my way back to work today.
I am primarily sending this newsletter because I saw these photos of Dr. Phil's house and I can't be the only one living with this burden. The extra links are free. Happy New Year!
A RomCom recommendation (I endorse this message!).
The best clouds of 2019. (NYTimes)
An essay on the portrayal of the "unlikeable" millennial woman in pop culture.

Tunes to start the week with:
Some of my favorite music of 2019!
Sharon Van Etten, Remind Me Tomorrow - I always love Sharon Van Etten, but especially on this album. It's slow-burning rock, with Springsteen vibes. The entire album rules.
Julia Jacklin, "Pressure to Party" - A fun little ditty that would fit in nicely with 2018's class of lady rock bops.
Stella Donnelly, Beware of the Dogs - Stella Donnelly is a young, angry, funny songwriter, and I'm so excited for whatever she does next. Get there early!
Rosalia, "Aute Culture" - Perfect for dancing around your kitchen. (I'm a little annoyed Obama had Rosalia on his list first, but I must live my truth)
Maggie Rogers, Heard It In A Past Life - It's impossible to dislike this album. I've listened to 90's style pop jam "Fallingwater," a few thousand times, but each song is great.
