Hi!
Thanks for opening this email / reading this post.
The links start coming and they don’t stop coming:
It’s been almost a year, but I’m still puzzled by a very expensive commercial for the famously broke Jesus Christ during last year’s Superbowl. And the mysterious benefactors behind Christianity’s robust marketing budget? White supremacist hate groups, of course!
A Texas woman courageously lobbies against Scholastic Book Fairs because seeing a kiss in a picture book allegedly gave her a debilitating porn addiction, an anecdote she has been sharing, in public, on record, repeatedly.
Gay links! What your Spotify Wrapped might say about your sexual preferences and a headline I can’t improve on: “Gay Furry Hackers” Breached a Nuclear Lab to Demand Catgirl Research.
Robots stealing jobs alert: Sports Illustrated published articles by fake authors, generated by AI, and then deleted the articles and denied it. Unsurprisingly, the articles don’t seem to make much sense and are riddled with errors, a techinque I have worked years to perfect organically.
If you need a little pick me up, may I suggest the very smart and funny Rusty Foster reviewing Henry Kissinger obituaries?
Finally, a holiday gifting recommendation - what if you shared this newsletter with all of the brilliant people in your life? It’s Free.99 and you can always unsubscribe, which is so elegant and low commitment!
Tunes to start the week with:
I saw Renaissance: A Film over the weekend, and it cured my depression, fixed my posture, and gave me a new single to play on repeat. I love a concert movie and I think this might be my new favorite (sorry Marty) - it’s intimate and thoughtful, while also being the best party I’ve been to all year. If you are looking for something lower-key, Samantha Irby shared this killer playlist on her IG. It’s nice and long and has lots of good soul, hip-hop, and Ani DiFranco, for good measure.
