The duality of man: I freaking love an expensive handbags AND this cute guy that cuts them open.
I generally think the hypothetical dilemmas around artificial intelligence are bullshit because 1. we're simply not that good at making computers, and 2. it's a grey area that seems to attract the dumbest of grifters. But the conversation around ethics in AI porn is actually fascinating/troubling in that it could either benefit sex workers tremendously or marginalize them (and any other person with the misfortune of appearing sexually attractive to another human) further.
The United States is mostly likely shooting down hobbyist weather balloons using $3 billion fighter jets, which is honestly way cooler than healthcare.
An oral history of the recording of the Meth and Mary J classic "All I Need," from Drew Dixon, one of hip hop's most interesting women. (Sidenote, the Mary J. Blige wine is the only good celebrity beverage)
An oldie, but goodie. Poetry is for everyone!

Tunes to start the week with:
I'm back on my album tribute beat, this time with Kate Bush's The Kick Inside and Madonna's Ray of Light. For a debut, The Kick Inside is so clear in its vision, but still really dreamy and weird. And Ray of Light - I had forgotten Madonna is legitmately brilliant and a few re-listens of this album has made me a fan all over again.
If those two are a little dusty for you, the new Caroline Polachek album is perfect (shoutout to everyone who recommended this one to me). Desire, I Want To Turn Into You is giving Robyn's Honey, or a sexier, more Italo-disco type of Carly Rae Jepsen. Listen now and feel cool when it's on everyone's year end list.
