Hi!
Thanks for opening this email / reading this post.
Goddamn, there is a lot of bad news!!!
I like to joke about braindead suburbanites living in constant fear of being snatched up by MS-13 mid-Target run, but I might give them a little more credit now that two real deal sex traffickers have been welcomed back into the US with open arms. Chances are they will be busy in newly-created cabinet positions, like Chief Alpha Dawg, but keep an eye out just in case.
A brilliant theory from Rusty Foster at Today in Tabs regarding problematic car ownership: “I would never suggest that current Tesla owners who regret their purchase should simply park their car on a public street and set it on fire, blaming ‘woke anarchists’ and collecting the insurance payout, but it would undeniably be a tidy solution to several different problems at once.”
Dems really have an ace up their sleeve with the, “less ethics and gay stuff, more billionaires and bald eagles,” (I’m paraphrasing) approach they outlined during a clandestine conference where they re-committed to their core value of never winning anything.
A short and very sweet essay on sharing art with kids.
Tunes to start the week with:
Darkside, one of Nicolás Jaar’s many projects, has a new album out that is loud and messy, kind of like post-punk meets funk meet ambient, perfect for a deeply chaotic time.
And Shygirl has released a killer new dance record Club Shy Room 2. It’s weirder and goes harder than last year’s Club Shy, which is great and we love to see it. If you had a BRAT summer, this is your kind of music.
